The Exorcism Of God Ending Explained and Complete Plot Details

The story begins with the town doctor, Nelson, driving to the Church on a dark and terrifying night. In the Church, Nelson finds Father Peter. Nelson tells Peter that a demon possesses a woman in the village and needs his help.

Nelson and Peter arrive at the house, where Peters finds a woman tied to a bed. Her hands are tied, her hair is spread out, she is growling, and blood is everywhere. An older woman sits beside Magali, holding her hand and chanting verses from the holy Bible to calm her. However, it does not affect Magali; she breaks the older woman’s hand. This signifies that any ordinary demon does not possess Magali and cannot be subdued by any ordinary man.

Father Peter contacts his senior, Father Michael. Peter explains Magali’s situation and asks for Michael’s permission to perform an exorcism. However, Father Michael refuses, stating that Peter is not devoted enough to God and has never performed an exorcism before.

Peter decides to hold off on exorcising, but Magali’s suffering becomes too much. Peter goes ahead with the exorcism without Father Michael’s approval.

The battle of good and evil begins with Peter chanting verses from the Holy Bible. At the same time, Magali transforms into a more demonic appearance. Peter struggles but continues the fight. Magali tries to stop Peter through lust and terror. After some time, the demon states that it will only leave Magali’s body if Peter allows it to enter his body. In other words, the demon wants Peter to surrender his soul and devotion to God. After the statement, Peter sees Magali return to her normal human appearance. No sign of the demon is present. Succumbing to temptation, Peter commits a sinful act that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

**Peace at Last… but Short-Lived**

18 years later, Peter is now a well-respected man in the village, dedicating his life to helping those in need. However, a sudden change occurs in the town. Children all around the village are suddenly falling sick. The local hospital is full of bedridden kids. Nelson stresses that they don’t have any cure, nor do they have any food and medicine.

Peter blames himself for the dark times in the village and decides to confess. He visits the bishop, bringing a videotape that recorded events 18 years ago. Peter hands over the tape to the bishop, who provides Peter with enough money to buy food and medicine for the hospital.

Peter uses the money to purchase supplies for the hospital. Despite confessing and helping the villagers, Peter still feels no better.

**Thousand Questions**

That very night, Peter starts having nightmares. In his nightmare, Peter gets attacked by “The Evil Jesus.”

In the morning, Peter receives a phone call from the prison about wanting to meet him. Peter and Nelson are escorted to the cell, where they meet Esperanza. Peter declares that four demons possess her. The demon inside Esperanza reminds Peter that it is the same demon he fought 18 years ago. Peter decides not to perform the exorcism and leaves the cell in haste.

**Answers Finally*

The prison guards kept persuading. But Peter refused to perform the exorcism. At this very moment, Esperanza’s mother walks in. Esperanza’s mother is revealed to be Magali herself. Magali sheds light on the hazy situation Peter finds himself in.

18 years ago, Peter failed to defeat the demon and, in return, let the demon into his body. Magali was saved, but Peter was possessed. Peter had sexual intercourse with Magali, resulting in her becoming pregnant in the process. The demon left Peter and possessed his unborn child.

Peter realizes that the children are suffering because of this demon. Feeling guilty for what he did to Magali and realizing his daughter is also suffering from the mistake he made 18 years ago, Peter decides to perform the exorcism.

**Preparation for a Rematch**

Peter asks the bishop for permission to perform the exorcism, and the bishop approves. From that day on, every night, Peter has the same nightmare of “The Evil Jesus” haunting him. The day of performing the exorcism arrives.

Peter calls in Father Michael to assist with the exorcism. Peter explains the situation, and Father Michael shares valuable information about the demon they will face. The demon’s name is Balban, who tried to possess Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.

At the same time, the hospital was being attacked by “The Evil Mother Mary.” Peter and Michael came to the rescue, but it was too late. Knowing they didn’t have time in abundance, they made haste.

Peter and Michael confront Balban, who is residing inside Esperanza. Their attempt fails as Balban proves too powerful. Balban’s influence causes chaos, with every woman in the prison getting possessed. Peter tries to help by chanting verses from the holy Bible, but his words carry no strength. Esperanza attacks Michael and rips one of his ears off. The prison guard interferes and injects Esperanza with sleeping medicine, successfully ending the chaos.

Peter and Michael prepare for a final encounter. Before entering the prison for the final encounter, Michael advises Peter to confess and clear his heart. After their conversation, the encounter begins. Peter and Michael face multiple possessed women in the prison, with Michael taking fatal blows in the process. Peter’s prayers were still ineffective. So, he records a confession and sends the video to the bishop, accepting the consequences. The next scene shows Peter effortlessly passing through all the possessed women. However, Esperanza takes this chance and knocks Peter out of his blind spot.

**The Climax**

Peter regains consciousness and finds himself chained to a chair. The entire room is filled with possessed women, and in the center, facing right at Peter, is Esperanza. An intense battle of good and evil begins. Peter starts praying with all his might, but Esperanza and the possessed women start reversing Peter’s chants. Meanwhile, at the hospital, “Evil Mother Mary” arrives and starts killing the kids.

Peter tries and tries but fails to emerge victorious. Esperanza offers Peter a deal: allow Balban in, and the kids will be spared. Feeling defeated, Peter agrees.

Esperanza is now well, and everything seems to return to normal. The entire village celebrates this victory and shows their respect towards Peter.

**Mysterious Ending**

“The Exorcism of God” has a very mysterious ending. We see Peter and Esperanza changing eye colors. Peter’s yellowish hue and Esperanza’s silver white. It indicates Peter’s possession of the demon and Esperanza’s of an Angel. A higher power is now on the side of the good.

    • Thank you for your comment. This can be a setup for the next part. As we saw at the end of the movie Father Peter was processed by the devil and said that God has already made a move which means his daughter can be the next representative of God. Now we can say if a sequel of this movie comes then the story of 2nd part maybe show us how Peter’s daughter frees him from the devil.
